Accessibility Statement
This site should work whether you use a mouse, a keyboard, a screen reader, or a phone in bright Gulf sun.

Our commitment
Keen Decorative Concrete LLC is working to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the standard referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act. We treat accessibility as part of building the site properly, not as a widget bolted on at the end — this site does not use an accessibility overlay.
What's built in
- Keyboard navigation. Every link, button, menu and form field can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in a sensible order. The services menu opens with Enter and closes with Escape.
- A visible focus ring. Wherever you are with the keyboard, you can see it.
- Skip to content. Press Tab on any page and the first stop is a link that jumps past the header straight to the main content.
- Real headings and landmarks. Pages use proper heading levels and ARIA landmarks so a screen reader can move by section instead of reading everything.
- Descriptive image text. Job photos carry alt text describing the work; decorative background images are hidden from screen readers so they don't add noise.
- Forms that explain themselves. Every field has a visible label, errors are announced and tied to the field they belong to, and nothing depends on color alone.
- Color contrast. Text and controls are checked against the AA contrast thresholds.
- Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the scroll animations and the moving gallery strip stop.
- Zoom and reflow. The layout reflows to 400% zoom and down to small screens without horizontal scrolling.
- New tabs are announced. Links that open in a new tab say so to screen readers.
What we're still working on
We'd rather list this than claim perfection:
- Some older job photographs were taken before we wrote alt text as a habit; we're describing them as we go.
- Third-party tools we embed — financing applications, payment pages, mapping — are outside our code. We choose accessible vendors where we can and will help you by phone where we can't.
- Documents such as care sheets and warranties are being rebuilt as tagged, readable PDFs.
- A full screen-reader pass is still outstanding. The site is built for screen readers — real headings and landmarks, alt text, labelled forms, announced changes — and the automated checks cover the markup those rely on. But we have not yet sat down and worked through every page with VoiceOver and NVDA ourselves, so we are not going to claim we have. It is booked. If you use a screen reader and something reads wrong before we get there, please tell us and we'll fix that page first.
How we test
We'd rather tell you exactly what we check than say “we test for accessibility” and leave it at that. Before we publish changes, an automated suite runs against every page on the site and has to come back clean:
- Automated rule checks. axe-core runs against every page at WCAG 2.0 A/AA, 2.1 AA and 2.2 AA, plus its best-practice rules. Zero violations is the bar.
- A real keyboard pass. A browser tabs through every page from top to bottom — a little over 1,200 stops across the site. Every stop has to have a visible focus ring and a name a screen reader can read out, the Tab order has to reach the end of the page without getting stuck, and the skip link has to actually land on the main content. The services menu is opened with Enter, tabbed into, and closed with Escape, and focus has to come back to the menu button rather than being dumped at the top of the page.
- Reflow. Every page is loaded at 320 pixels wide and at the equivalent of 400% zoom and checked for horizontal scrolling.
- Reduced motion. The site is loaded with the reduce-motion setting on to confirm the animations are off and nothing is left hidden.
- Structure. Heading levels, landmarks and image alt attributes are checked page by page.
Automated tools only catch part of the picture, which is why the keyboard pass above is a real browser really pressing Tab rather than a code inspection. The one thing that is not yet done is listed below.
